Technology Assignment
How many of you own a technology device such as a computer, laptop, cell phone, tablet, etc.? The world of technology is always growing, and we use technology more and more each day! The use of technology in our school is growing, and we are considering implementing the use of even more technology devices.
One form of technology is called Learning Management Systems (LMS). In simple terms, a Learning Management System is a software application that is like an online classroom for teachers and students.
The following is a Prezi presentation captured with Jing that I created. For extra credit, please view this presentation to learn more about Learning Management Systems.
After you have viewed the presentation, do some research on the Internet about one different Learning Management System that is not mentioned in the presentation. You may choose any LMS that you like except for the ones that are mentioned in the presentation. After you have researched a LMS, create a poster about the topic that you have researched.
Here are some rules and guidelines for creating your extra credit poster:
This extra credit technology assignment poster is due Monday, May 18, 2016. You will receive a quiz grade of 100 in the subject of your choice as extra credit if you choose to complete this assignment. Please make sure to bring me the poster to class on this date. You may bring it to me before the due date if you would like.
Remember, this assignment is completely optional and will only count as extra credit for you.

Bring Your Own Device Survey
Our school is considering implementing a "Bring Your Own Device Program", which is also called the "BYOD" program, and we would like to have some of your input as a student here at Russellville Elementary School! We want to hear your thoughts about implementing this program and your ideas about it. We would love for you to complete this student survey for us to help us decide what is best for our school.
This survey is completely optional, but if you do complete it, you will be awarded extra computer lab time or extra recess time; the choice is yours. Even if you do not know much about BYOD, I still encourage you to complete this survey and to do some research about the topic.
The due date for completing this survey is Friday, May 22, 2016.
